Description
An English Garrett gold coin changer, circa 1880, measures 12" tall by 9" wide by 6" deep. The gold shilling, upon depositing, would trip a lever releasing a small drawer. A brass cup, with the silver currency, could be removed from the silver drawer. The brass cups were replaced on the brass rod on the side of the metal cabinet. The coin changer was restored in a automotive black finish detailed in gold pin-stripping. The ornate front door is gold plated. An exceptional rare antique with a restoration of perfection. An incredible investment impossible to replace.
