Description
An original Smith Miller Kaiser Pink Cement Truck, # 37 of 125
The most highly sought after / collectible of the cement trucks offered by Smith Miller.
This cement truck was actual designed off the real pink cement trucks in San Francisco owned and operated by the Kaiser Corporation. Henry Kaiser painted all his concrete trucks pink because pink was a "Happy Color".
Fred Thompson, owner of Smith Miller, had one of his toy Smith Miller cement trucks painted pink. When his granddaughter saw the truck, she immediately begged to have it. She requested Fred to make a limited series of only 150. When he told his son the request to produce pink cement trucks, he was shocked and refused. Fred told his son he had to tell his daughter the pink cement truck was not possible. Needless to say, the extremely limited production pink cement truck was manufactured. Much to every ones surprise, the collection was sold out in only 60 days.
The truck measures 19" long by 6" wide by 8" tall".
