For a nickel, a bell will sound and the automatic column dispenses gum by flipping it from the top into the lower product chute. Mansfield offered gum flavors such as peppermint and the unique flavor, blood orange. Made mostly of glass and having a rectangular boxed shape, allowing patrons to view the clock work mechanism within. The reverse glass mirror marquee reads "Mansfield's Choice Pepsin Gum Dispenser". A highly successful machine, manufactured in 1902 by the Automatic Clerk Company
