Description

A hand crafted knife by Bud Cole, presently a 78 year artisan who started his skill when only fifteen years old. The Damascus blade was created by countless hours of heating the steel to over 2000 degrees, bending the steel over itself and hammering until it becomes a solid blade. This process is performed over twenty times to enable the blade to be multi-layered. The steel blade will have a slight flex vice shattering if struck to a hard surface. The blade is is then subjected an acid bath to obtain the distinquished markings. The handle is a series of custom formed leather pads that are compressed under high pressure to obtain the unique handle. Note: The Damascus knife presented is a very rare and highly desired collectible that is American Made by an American Craftsman. The overall length of the knife is 11.25" with a 6.5" knife blade.
